Neuro-Performance Training

What is Neuro Performance Training?

Neuro Performance Training (NPT) involves neurological fitness in conjunction with physical fitness. NPT targets skill development by improving visual, somatosensory (mainly proprioception) and the vestibular system and cognitive skills.

How Does NPT Help Athletes?

Since NPT involves training numerous systems while incorporating an athlete’s sport. It allows their skills to be developed in a more defined manner and ensures that the training is specified to the individual athlete. For example, training in the visual system can help build an athlete’s peripheral vision, depth perception, hand-eye coordination and reaction time. NPT would also bring various elements of the athlete’s sport into the training program to hone in on the necessary skills for success.

Do I Have to be an Athlete to Train?

No, NPT can help any individual, ranging from the elderly and people suffering from vestibular disorders, all the way to everyday working individuals who have the drive to improve their daily lifestyle. Since NPT is highly individualized, it is always based on the individual’s unique lifestyle and choices.

Neuro Performance Training (NPT) is most effective when combined with manual treatment.
